Software Engineer: Search/Data Classification

We are looking for a lead Software Engineer to lead the development of the next-generation of data classification software.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Analyze and select appropriate data indexing and classification approaches based on customer requirements
- Develop different data classification algorithms and deliver production-ready implementations
Position requirements include:
- Broad knowledge of data classification techniques for diverse data types including Bayesian Classification, Clustering and Agglomerative Algorithms, Content-Based Retrieval, and Query by Example
- Stong skills in algorithms, data structures, performance optimization techniques, and in working with large volumes of data
- Database access methodologies experience
- Object-oriented software design and programming skills in C++, PERL, Java (J2EE), and knowledge of tools such as Matlab
- MS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent (Ph.D. is a plus)
- Preferred experience with Linux kernel/open source software systems
Other requirements:
- Experience in designing and programming large scale, distributed systems, information retrieval algorithms, network programming
- Creative problem-solving attitude
